Cauliflower

Cauliflower is a fantastic food for weaning as it makes a deliciously creamy puree but is also brilliant for baby-led weaning as steamed florets are easy for little hands to grab hold of and the florets break down perfectly for little gums.

BLW Tip: steam some extra florets until soft  until they can be easily broken down when you push one between your thumb and finger. Place on the highchair tray whilst your little one is eating and see how they touch, play and potentially pick up. Its a great way to get them used to using their gums to mush down food before they gets any nashers.
